Dean Chance that they have chosen to relinquish their IBA
World Jr. Featherweight Title and will concentrate on the
Featherweight division at 126 lbs.
Effective 10-01-02: The
International Boxing Association has withdrawn title
designation from IBA America’s Champion Juan Garza for
failure to defend his title within the specified time-frame as
stipulated in the ‘IBA Championship Rules and Participation
Agreement’. Garza had won his title on 12-21-01 and as of
this date has failed to defend his title. Letter describing
the above action sent to Juan Garza’s management on
10-01-02.
