(AUG 24) Oliver McCall, 243,  won aten round unanimous decision over Franklin  Lawrence, 230,on Friday night at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas. The bout was fought at a deliberate pace with Lawrence the busier of the two. McCall won the IBA heavyweight Continental belt.  Final judges scores: 97-93, 96-94, 96-94.  Promoter of event was Crown Boxing, Matchmaker, Frank Luca.
